What is design?
What separates a good design from a design icon?

Sarah Teasley.jpgBritain has a proud history of design and designers.

Traditional skills and crafts are no longer in the school curriculum, and enrolment in art, design and technology A-levels is falling. What does design do, and how could this change affect us in future?

Is a there a quiet revolution and resurgence in traditional crafts taking place?

And how can thinking like a designer, and like a design historian, help us work through these questions and challenges?

We are delighted to welcome Dr Sarah Teasley, leading researcher in design history and design futures, to Market Bosworth.

Whether you are a student considering a future in design, engineering, art or architecture or simply delight in the beauty of a well designed product this talk will be of relevance and interest to you.
