The Parthenon – probably the most famous ancient Greek temple in the world – has a façade which is a Golden Rectangle. But Euclid - the famous geometer who documented the concept of ‘the Golden Ratio’, was as yet unborn. In this richly illustrated lecture John looks at the evidence for and against this oft-quoted idea.  JOHN SHERLOCK runs a business advising the owners of historic houses and landscapes, counting the National Trust and the Crown Estate among his clients.
